![]() I'd love to see a hi-res triton/mobius mix with front light. But currently Mobius is only 150dpi, which would make a triton version only 75dpi - far too low. Back in 2010 that a low power colour display capable of video display would ship by the end of 2015. It's beginning to look like it won't make that date. But I still have several years before the balance of the bet moves against me. Well the Mobius is up to at least 213 dpi on 6' devices. See our wiki. And I suspect they can get to 250 which will match the which is currently the highest rev color device. You may win your bet yet. My sources are telling me that Hanvon have announced that they're planning to release a new ereader with a color E-ink screen in November. I'd rate this as somewhat more than a rumor but less than a certainty. This is rather interesting, though. Hanvon Technology. We got an opportunity to play with the world's first e-reader utilizing E Ink Corp's Triton color. N the ebook reader. I'd pegged Hanvon as one of the likely Mirasol partners. If they're working with E-ink, then wouldn't it suggest they they aren't working with Qualcomm? Then again, they could be working on both new screen technologies with the plan to release whichever was ready first.
